While not receiving the rains that the mid and central state got this year there was still enough rain at the right time to get a bloom.
While not “Super-bloom” territory for ABDSP (which is far better and varied than the Mojave’s ) Like 1998, 2003 and 2008, it is still a nice bloom and a couple late season rains may keep it going
Henderson Road was in Full bloom with Desert Sunflowers, San Verbena and a few Desert Lily. Coyote Canyon/Digiorgio Road had it’s usual Dune Evening Primrose and Sand Verbena and then further up into Coyote Canyon there were some Arizona Lupine but they were smaller than usual and then a few Ocotillo bloomed and Silver Cholla in full bloom. The most amazing were the great Indigo Bushes in full full bloom
Over in Henderson Canyon there was a very nice varieties of flowers from Blue Falacia, Fremont Pin Cushion, Yellow Throat Monkey Flower, Brittle Bush, Mojave Desert Star and a Variety of Cactus starting to bloom. They will be spectacular a bit later in the season, With Barrel, beavertail and Silver Cholla
Here’s my day and I added in a few Night Sky shots since it was just too nice to leave this trip
